The importance of being effective

Posted in Skepsos by skepsos on August 18, 2010

Who could ever believe in a deity who created all the huge things in the entire universe AND is also watching all the little things you’re doing in your bedroom?
Seems the deity doesn’t quite know how to set priorities here.

Such a waste

I’m sure the number of trees that were cut down to make those silly crucifixes, is enough to generate oxygen for our entire planet for at least a hundred years.

Shake yer Mohammed

Posted in Skepsos by skepsos on May 21, 2010

I don’t like offending, but sometimes you just do things and at the same time cannot help offend someone… it happens every day.
This is my submission for Everybody Draw Mohammed Day http://twitpic.com/1ph8sq

The blog I was hoping to submit this to, seems to have mysteriously disappeared? What happened?

Come on you fuckers, I can take you.
Here is a great archive on all the depictions of Mohammed.

Unbelievable

Posted in Skepsos by skepsos on April 30, 2010

The fact that Richard Dawkins gets so much attention in the media is actually worrying: it proves it is apparantly rare and noteworthy that one cannot believe in a god.

Creative writing

Posted in Skepsos by skepsos on April 10, 2010

I haven’t posted anything extensive for a while, since I’ve been mainly twittering my ass off.
Or, as I said to a friend of mine: “I have been twittering the lower part of my body into oblivion.”
I propose a more creative use of common expressions.
Please respond with your own, prefarably sexpositive queer atheist liberal perversions and involving robots, if possible.
Thank you.

I swear

Posted in Skepsos by skepsos on March 24, 2010

It’s time to replace the expressions “bunch of faggots” and “that’s so gay”
into
“bunch of Christians” and “that’s so fucking theist!”

Really. It’s very odd to use the word ‘gay’ as a swearword. Gay is something that just simply exists, there’s nothing anyone could (or should) do about it.
Just replace it with “busstation” (another thing that just simply exists…). Try it.
For example “that movie was sóooo busstation!”

The foxhole delusion

Posted in Skepsos by skepsos on March 24, 2010

My writing for today:

There are no sane people in foxholes.

This is a writing I based on the quote “there are no atheists in foxholes.” Theists use that one in order to ‘prove’ religion is some kind of justified default value and therefore ‘true.’
My point is: people who are about tot die in a foxhole do not necessarily have the best judgment…

Worms

Posted in Skepsos by skepsos on March 6, 2010

The life of an earthworm is just as valuable as the life of a human. They are both the result of millions of years of evolution and they come from a very long line of chance survivors.
In fact you could say a rock is equally important as a human. Because we both came from the big bang. However: I tend to be nicer to living creatures than I am to most rocks.

Animaltruistic

Posted in Skepsos by skepsos on March 6, 2010

Altruism can be explained through science and evolution, but why do humans like other species so much?
I really love animals, they endear me more than humans, why is that?

Nontheist morals

Posted in Skepsos by skepsos on March 5, 2010

I have been building up my moral conscience and ethics purely through my life’s experiences, talking to other people, forming my opinions and changing them constantly.
I wish one day everyone on this planet will be blessed with that privilage, instead of being forced into it through religion from their childhood on.
